DIY / Advanced

Build it your way.

Already comfortable flashing microcontrollers, compiling firmware or running miners from a terminal? You don't need to buy our hardware to participate.

ESP32 firmware

Supported boards, binaries, source builds, flashing instructions, serial diagnostics and manual configuration is being prepared for public beta releases.

PC miner

The PC miner is our first development target because it lets us iterate on MiniPOW and server behavior quickly before embedded deployment.

Benchmarks

Measured MiniPOW rate, power draw and efficiency by device — published from actual testing rather than guessed numbers.

Developer docs

Protocol behavior, pool/server communication, configuration reference and contribution information as those interfaces stabilize.

Public mining software

Download it. Build it. Mine MINI.

The public reference miners contain the core software needed to participate in MINI mining. You do not need to purchase Mini Miners hardware to experiment with the network.

The ESP32 reference miner is public source code for compatible ESP32-family hardware. The Python reference miner provides a CPU implementation for development, testing and experimentation. Advanced protocol, MiniPOW, Pioneer Network, benchmark and architecture documentation lives at MiniMiners.net.

The basic ESP32 and PC reference miners are open source. Mini Miners also plans optional proprietary Newb editions with easier setup, automatic updates and other convenience features. You can mine using the free reference software without purchasing a Newb edition.

Public reference miners are available above for Closed Testnet experimentation. Testnet mining has no monetary value. Real MINI rewards begin with Pioneer Network; participation will require a one-time $1 account activation. Mining software remains free and open source. Interfaces and instructions may change as testing continues.
